Bob Moses dabble in nostalgia while looking toward the future on ‘Old Love’ with BROODS

Bob Moses has been on a high ever since the March release of their latest album The Silence in Between. The Grammy Award-winning duo recently completed a 25-date North American headline tour off the back of a dynamic string of collaborations. While selling out The Greek Theatre in LA and New York’s famed summer venue Brooklyn Mirage, band members Tom Howie and Jimmy Vallance linked with The Chainsmokers on “Why Can’t You Wait” from So Far So Good, Vintage Culture on a remix of “Love Brand New,” and—most recently—Kasablanca on “Afterglow.”Howie and Vallance figured their next collaborators needed captivating vocals with the ability to compliment Bob Moses’ sonic storytelling abilities, especially with the narrative they’ve been crafting with The Silence in Between. Enter BROODS, the beloved dream-pop duo from New Zealand, with a call-and-response-lead vocal ballad that adds blissful melodic elements to Moses’ uplifting beats and steady leads over a vast combination of soundscapes. According to Tom Howie, the lyrics have a dual meaning that lends well to the theme of their previous project,After an astounding performance at Portola festival in San Francisco to close out the summer, Bob Moses looks ahead to the European leg of their headline tour.
