Far Out‘s last trip through Ophelia Records serendipitously coincided with his induction to our class of artists to watch in 2022, and the two have reunited for the first time since Somewhere In Between landed at the end of 2021. A week prior to the reunion, Far Out had teased that “some new melodic music” was in order on Dancing Astronaut‘s reigning label of the year, and for his return to the Seven Lions-led imprint, he decided to run it back with DVRKCLOUD—following “Elevate” from the forenamed EP—and also add in singer-songwriter duo RBBTS, who just made an appearance on Trivecta‘s The Way Back Up.The Dancing Astronaut Artist to Watch in 2022 prefaced the arrival of “Diamond Heart” by saying that “it’s been an ongoing yet enjoyable challenge to have [his] cinematic style come through when making melodic music, yet this song feels like the perfect combination of those two sonic worlds.” And it only takes a single listen of “Diamond Hearts” to verify Far Out’s spot-on description, with both his and DVRKCLOUD’s respective melodic bass touches coming together with ease for a second time around, this time tying a chilling duet from RBBTS into the Ophelia Records collaborative mix.Featured image: Bobby BengalTags: dvrkcloud, far out, Ophelia Records, rbbts
