German producer JustLuke has cut his teeth over the last half a decade by collecting airtight production credits on some of the most esteemed dance labels in the world. And, it isn’t a wonder how he attracted the attention, and the co-signs, of some of the most revered producers in the game today—from Martin Garrix and Afrojack to David Guetta and Diplo. With a nimble step, JustLuke is able to hop between the subdivisions of house music with relative ease, consistently putting forward floor-primed material that showcases a fine-tuned ear for club sounds. His latest takes a slight turn into tech-house territory, bringing WATEVA and Shira together on “Lunacy.” The track pops and hisses with a rugged club-ready edge, laced together by Shira’s rousing vocalwork. “Lunacy” comes together as a complex, uptempo blend of layers that highlights the trio’s evident production chemistry, with an emphatic focus on JustLuke’s strongest production suits.
