Syence master the art of hybridization on new ‘bass pop’ EP

Via Create Music Group comes bass pop, a five-track project dispensed by Syence, a duo dreamt up by Zach Montoya and Brayden James. Laced with toplines supplied by Kyle Reynolds and Jake Neumar, bass pop bolds wanders through elements of melodic-dubstep, house, and mid-tempo.The EP—Syence’s answer to their last non-bass pop release, “think about u”—was led by the Reynolds-assisted “truth,” a dramatic pop-guided delivery punctuated by future-bass. Fellow bass pop tracklistings “hate u like you love me” and “talking way too much” make use of catchy vocal harmonics and mid-tempo progressions while the EP’s concluding enclosing two tracks tap more into pop and bass. When asked about the musical influences and personal experiences that colored the creative process behind bass pop, Syence shared, To date, Syence have amassed more than 21 million plays on February’s “a little bored” with RUUTH on the video social app Triller. The pair recently signed with LA Reid’s label, Hitco Entertainment, joining the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Dixie D’Amelio, SAINt JHN, and Outkast’s Big Boi as well as booking agency, Wasserman Music. Syence will make their premiere festival debut at Insomniac’s Countdown NYE festival this New Year’s 2021. Stream bass pop below.Featured image: Syence/FacebookTags: , , , , , ,
