Tomorrowland tells the decade-plus story of Swedish House Mafia on hour-long mix

It’s no secret that Swedish House Mafia’s story has been a rollercoaster since the trio became a collective in the mid-to-late 2000s. As AxwellSebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Angello continue to plot the next phase in their Paradise Again album blueprint, Tomorrowland decided to condense the trio’s decade-plus history into a single hour as part of its week-long “Made In Sweden” celebration through Tomorrowland’s One World Radio.Opening with Axwell’s iconic 2008 cut “Feel The Vibe,” Tomorrowland’s hour-long mix makes a pit stop through just about every era of the Swedes, even sliding in something from the group’s unofficial fourth member Eric Prydz on his 2004 cross with Steve Angello, “Woz Not Woz.” “The History of Swedish House Mafia” moves towards the trio’s first-ever shared release “Leave The World Behind” with Laidback Luke and Deborah Cox—although all members were credited individually—before delivering Swedish House Mafia’s official musical debut “One” in a mashup with Daft Punk’s “One More Time.” Tomorrowland powers through a handful of “One Last Tour” staples like “Greyhound” and “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall” in the lead up to the unforgettable Axwell Λ Ingrosso era, tossing in Steve Angello’s 2014 progressive masterpiece with Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman, “Payback.” The mix couldn’t come to its destination without the most recent Swedish House Mafia chapter, with both “It Gets Better” and “Lifetime” rounding out the mix as the wait for the Swedes’ unnamed track with The Weeknd carries on.Stream Swedish House Mafia’s journey to present day below.
