Porter Robinson celebrates birthday with Anamanaguchi’s new ‘Get Your Wish’ remix

Porter Robinson has one of the year’s most anticipated records on his hands with his sophomore LP, Nurture. So far, the producer has shared the two lead singles from the impending album, “Get Your Wish” and “Something Comforting,” allowing the sonic outline of the project to start to take shape. After a brief pause in the album’s rollout, which was supplemented with Robinson’s widely lauded Secret Sky digital festival as well as a virtual performance at the recent Party in Place event, Robinson has shared a new remix of the album’s lead single by frequent collaborators Anamanaguchi

Robinson celebrated his birthday, Wednesday, July 15 with the delivery of Anamanaguchi’s “Get Your Wish” remix, breathing new life into the debut single from Nurture, which had initially landed back in January. The New York-based electronic quartet successfully wrap their dreamy, 8-bit-inspired sound around Robinson’s groundwork for a complementary remix effort that manages to add something unique to its original counterpart. Anamanaguchi’s “Get Your Wish” remix precedes what will likely be Robinson’s third single from the album, the currently unreleased “Look at the Sky,” which the Worlds producer crowd-tested during his recent Secret Sky digital event. While there’s no official word on when “Look at the Sky” will land, for now, Anamanaguchi’s infectious new remix certainly should tide fans over until the album’s next single.
