Calvin Harris’ ‘Giant’ was the UK’s most played song in 2019

The most streamed song in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2019 belonged to Calvin Harris, according to data from licensing company, PPL, which tracks radio broadcast and TV station activity. New figures recently released by PPL indicate that Harris’ collaboration with Rag’n’Bone Man, “Giant,” had the heaviest rotation in the UK, followed by Mark Ronson‘s Miley Cyrus feature, “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart,” and Sam Smith and Normani‘s “Dancing With A Stranger.”

The fourth and fifth spots on the list were claimed by Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber‘s “I Don’t Care” and Tom Walker‘s “Just You And I,” respectively. PPL data additionally showed that Calvin Harris was the second most frequently played artist in the UK, following the country’s one musician, Ed Sheeran.
