Yoon Fest, a staple in Southern California’s underground music scene, returns for its ninth edition, set to take place from October 31 through November 4, in Pine Valley. Nestled within the scenic forests just outside San Diego, the festival moves to this new location, which boasts natural features like a small lake, ziplines, RV hookups, and more, enhancing the festival’s immersive atmosphere. With a focus on underground house, techno, and electro music, Yoon Fest promises a unique multi-day experience for music lovers.
This year’s lineup includes a curated mix of both international and local artists. Headlining are acts like Jensen Interceptor, known for his high-energy electro sets, Hamish & Toby with their infectious house sounds, and genre-blending artist Mary Droppinz. Additionally, Yoon Fest residents Jake Mora, Adam Rose, Kieran Ishimaru, and Roombot are set to deliver crowd-favorite sets, bringing their signature sounds back to the stage for returning attendees.
Yoon Fest will feature three distinct stages: The Meadow, The Woods, and The Cave. Each stage will focus on different genres and vibes, creating a musical journey for attendees. The Meadow will showcase house and techno with performances from artists like Resolute’s Maksim and Italian DJ Gabbs. The Woods stage will highlight techno and European tech house, with artists like Enzo Muro and Kale. Meanwhile, The Cave offers a more ambient, late-night experience, featuring downtempo sets from DJs like Bawab and Oboe, among others.
Beyond the music, Yoon Fest expands its offerings with the new Cave Experiences, which include comedy sessions hosted by Jake Tyler, Reiki, sound baths, and a range of creative workshops. Attendees can look forward to a blend of activities designed to complement the festival’s music, from yoga sessions to interactive art workshops, creating a holistic experience for those seeking a deeper connection beyond the dance floor.
Festival founder Adam Rose expressed his excitement for the 2024 event, saying, “We are thrilled to be returning with a fresh location, an incredible lineup, and some new, immersive experiences. Each year we aim to bring something unique, and we’re looking forward to sharing this with the Yoon Fest community.”
Starting as a small gathering in 2019, Yoon Fest has maintained its commitment to highlighting lesser-known talent within the underground music scene. Over the years, the festival has introduced Southern California audiences to European and global acts who rarely perform in the region. In addition to the main festival, Yoon Fest hosts pop-up and warehouse events throughout the year, helping maintain its underground ethos while building a dedicated following.
