Bass music’s playful side takes center stage as WonkyWilla and SoDown officially team up for the first time on their debut collaboration, “Won’t You Love”. The single lands at a pivotal moment for both artists, capturing a shared vision rooted in groove-forward bass music, live instrumentation, and high-energy storytelling.
From its opening moments, “Won’t You Love” leans into feel-good momentum. Warm vocal samples centered on love and connection glide over an infectious rhythmic pocket before WonkyWilla’s signature bass textures take hold. The track’s first drop delivers a punchy fusion of dubstep and funk, striking a balance between heavy low-end pressure and dancefloor-friendly movement. Midway through, the energy pulls back for a soulful breakdown led by SoDown’s unmistakable saxophone, layered over emotive chords that add depth and musicality before the track surges forward once more with heavier bass elements and fresh sonic twists.
Sold-Out Ogden Theatre Shows Fuel WonkyWilla’s Momentum
The collaboration arrives as WonkyWilla continues a breakout run on the road. Earlier this month, he completed two sold-out nights at Denver’s Ogden Theatre, where more than 3,000 fans stepped into his immersive “Wonky’s World” experience. The historic venue was transformed into a circus-inspired universe featuring acrobats, stilt-walking performers, and interactive characters, all presented in collaboration with the Strawberry Disco Circus. The double-header has quickly become one of the most talked-about moments of his Galactic Circus headline tour.
Support across the weekend included Buku, Whales, Overeazy, and Montycler, along with multiple themed warm-up sets from WonkyWilla himself, spanning Disco Wonk, throwback dubstep, and a full ‘Riddim Wonk’ headline performance. Fans familiar with the Strawberry Disco Circus’ Electric Forest takeover witnessed an even more ambitious iteration in Denver, marking the only two-night activation of its kind on his 30-plus-date tour.
Momentum continues as WonkyWilla headlines San Diego’s Music Box on release day for “Won’t You Love,” followed by shows in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Reno. February brings additional stops across Washington, D.C., Jacksonville, Orlando, Seattle, Portland, and Atlanta, alongside select Strawberry Disco Circus appearances. Festival season is also on the horizon, including a performance at Gem & Jam and a newly announced direct support slot for Ravenscoon and Jantsen at Red Rocks this March.
“Won’t You Love” encapsulates what makes both artists stand out: inventive sound design, musical warmth, and a refusal to stay boxed into one lane. As 2026 unfolds, the collaboration feels less like a one-off and more like an opening chapter in a creative partnership built to thrive on experimentation and forward momentum.
