Tomorrowland attendees may not be descending on Boom, Belgium this year as planned, but festival organizers nevertheless will give electronic music enthusiasts a chance to enjoy their favorite artists from home. From July 25-26, Tomorrowland will bring together more than 60 of the world’s most prominent dance artists for their 2020 digital iteration, Tomorrowland Around the World, including Armin van Buuren, Charlotte de Witte, David Guetta, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Martin Garrix, Tiësto, and more.
Beyond live performances, Tomorrowland Around the World will also offer viewers a variety of interactive experiences, including inspirational webinars, games, and workshops related to lifestyle, food, fashion, and the Tomorrowland Foundation.
Festival organizers will bring the event to life using the world’s best technology in 3D design, video production, gaming, and special effects across eight different stages. Stages include the iconic main stage that offers viewers a first introduction into the magical world of the festival’s theme, ‘The Reflection of Love – Chapter 1.” Tomorrowland Around the World will also feature signature Tomorrowland stages such as the Atmosphere, Core, and Freedom Stages, and three new stages specially created and designed by the creative team and 3D artists behind Tomorrowland.
Tomorrowland veteran, Dimitri Vegas, commented on the Tomorrowland Around the World stage designs in an official release, saying,
“We’ve deliberately been holding out on doing livestreams as we wanted this to be really special. We had the opportunity to see the stage designs [for] the digital festival and [they] will be nothing like the world has ever seen.
[Tomorrowland Around the World] is truly an immersive and unique experience and [will surpass] any expectations someone can have when they hear the term ‘virtual festival.’ People are just not ready for what they are about to see. We can’t wait!”
Tomorrowland Around the World will take place from 16h00 and 01h00 CEST, with a ‘time zone friendly’ option for visitors from Asia and either North or South America. Single-day and weekend ticket sales start on June 18 at Tomorrowland’s official website.
