After the announcement that Subtronics‘ debut album, Fractals, would arrive in January 2022, fans only had a day to catch their breath before they received the record’s first offering. Sitting shy of three full minutes, “Spacetime” finds Subtronics’ heavy sound contrasted by NEVVE‘s atmospheric lyrics. With the promise that Fractals will be different from any of the Wooked On Tronics releases, “Spacetime” watches Subtronics step out of his comfort zone into more ethereal tones and a new creative direction while maintaining the in-your-face bass that has become a discography staple.2021 has seen Subtronics show no signs of slowing down, with the past few months featuring numerous collaborations, including “Take Flight” with Sullivan King, “Gravity” with SLANDER and JT Roach, and the “GRiZtronics” follow-up, “Another Level,” with GRiZ. With a full album on the way, next year looks promising for the ever-evolving producer. Featured image: Gabe TianoTags: debut album, dubstep, fractals, Nevve, Subtronics
