Snakehips unlock Tchami-assisted future-house gem, ‘Tonight’

“We’re now trying to do some more ‘dancier’ stuff because that’s what gets us excited,” Snakehips told Dancing Astronaut in an exclusive interview at High Ground Music Festival last fall. “People like Tony Romera, or Tchami…We want to get more into the dance music world...”Whether in motion at the time or merely spoken into existence, Snakehips’ latest offering, “Tonight,” is indeed a “dancier” collaboration with the French prince of future-house himself, Tchami. February 18 marks the single’s official release on the “All My Friends” duo’s co-founded label, Never Worry Records. Snakehips’ first creative output of 2022, “Tonight” follows the British tastemakers’ November house cut, “All Over U.” On the other hand, the joint effort signals Tchami’s sophomore single of the calendar year, with the Confession label head having dispatched “Only One,” featuring AC Slater and Kate Wild, in mid-January. “Tonight” exemplifies the best of both Snakehips and Tchami, distinguished by tantalizing future-house drops encompassed by a pop-infused song template.
