If you’re looking to get a particular groove on, research shows that you might want to consider the speed of the jams that you’re using to set the mood. A study conducted by SupplementPlace, which promotes sexual health supplements for men and women, analyzed 60,000 songs that commonly appear in Spotify playlists and reference words relevant to getting frisky, such as “sexy,” “horny,” or “freaky,” resulting in some seriously steamy findings. Across all of the babymaking beats used in the study, ranging from Ty Dolla $ign‘s “Or Nah” to PARTYNEXTDOOR‘s “Wus Good / Curious,” the BPM sweet spot was 119—not too fast or too slow. Unsurprisingly, this falls just in the range of Lady Gaga‘s “Bad Romance,” and The Weeknd‘s “Earned It,” the latter of which was crowned as the singular most sensual song of the lot. With more than 800 million plays, “Earned It” emphasizes the fact that sex does in fact sell.More information about the study is available here.Featured image: Nina WesterveltTags: Lady Gaga, PARTYNEXTDOOR, sex, supplementplace, The Weeknd, ty dolla $ign
