“This city means so much to us. We moved here like four years ago, so this is our home,” RÜFÜS DU SOL frontman Tyrone Lindqvist shared with a sold-out Banc of California Stadium on November 12 before performing “Innerbloom” to close out the group’s first night back in Los Angeles. The two-hour-plus live experience was the first of three sold-out nights at LAFC’s home stadium, located in Exposition Park neighborhood in LA. A little over a year ago, the trio shared a 45-minute performance video in Joshua Tree, where the outfit wrote and produced most of its October LP, Surrender. From November 12 – 14, RÜFÜS DU SOL performed selections from their arsenal of world-renowned records, kicking off each evening with their live rendition of “Eyes” before delving into tracklistings from their fourth studio album. Copenhagen-based pop trio WhoMadeWho took the stage at the beginning of the night, right before Australian duo Flight Facilities opened for the highly anticipated main event. Those who weren’t able to attend the set of shows in Los Angeles can browse our gallery of performance stills above.
