Premiere: DubVision give Nora Van Elken’s ‘Satellites’ a progressive house reimagining

DubVision have come out firing on all cylinders in the first half of 2022. After appearing on Martin Garrix‘s Sentio tracklist not once but twice—with “Starlight” with Shaun Farrugia and “Oxygen” with Jordan Grace—making a return to Bayfront Park alongside STMPD RCRDS and also partnering with The Him, the Dutch brothers are back with their first unaccompanied sonic round of the year. DubVision typically allow for their remixes to happily surprise those searching for freshly released music at midnight on Fridays and this one is no different—although its reveal comes a day early—with the two tackling Nora Van Elken’s “Satellites” just a handful of weeks after its early May release. The saying goes that progressive house never died and DubVision have done nothing but ensure that for more than a decade at this point, sliding Nora Van Elken’s pop-dance intertwining over from radio airwaves onto the festival grounds. Equipping the rework with the undeniably magnetic vocal from “Satellites,” DubVision inject it with a rush of their time-tested progressive house as they look towards their back-to-back with Matisse & Sadko at Tomorrowland. Both DubVision and Nora Van Elken shared a message behind the remix’s release, adding,DubVision’s “Satellites” remix will be out everywhere on May 27, but can be streamed in full one day early, exclusively on Dancing Astronaut.Featured image: Tomorrowland WinterTags: ,
