PREMIERE: Conor Donnelly, Seamus D – All My Loving Ft Rain Castillo [Magnetic Magazine Recordings]

We’re kicking off summer with the official premiere of “All My Loving” from Conor Donnelly and Seamus D featuring Rain Castillo – one week ahead of its release on Magnetic Magazine Recordings.

Built around the kind of warm, euphoric vocal hook you’d expect to hear drifting over a Funktion-One at sunset, this one leans into the pure feel-good end of house – a track that knows exactly what it’s aiming for and gets there without overthinking it. Conor and Seamus have been refining this formula for a while now, but this might be their cleanest execution to date.

Big, bright, and built for open-air play, the track plays to both producers’ strengths while giving Rain Castillo’s topline room to breathe.

We caught up with Conor to talk about the evolution of his sound, staying creatively grounded, and what it actually takes to finish a track when you’re stuck in the loop.

Who are the artists or sounds that most shaped your style early on?
I got into dance music around 2010, when the scene was really opening up across different genres. Early on, I was pulled into progressive house and electro – artists like Avicii, Swedish House Mafia, and Calvin Harris made a huge impact. Their way of combining melodies with strong drops is what grabbed me.

Now I’m leaning into prog and melodic stuff, as well as techno and tech house. Artists like Anyma, Eric Prydz, Fisher, Pawsa, Dom Dolla, Mau P, and John Summit are in my regular rotation. What sticks with me is the blend of high energy and groove-driven rhythm. I’m always chasing a balance between movement and emotion.

What’s the one sound or technique that you think defines your signature style?

For me, it’s anything that feels good. Euphoric melodies, catchy vocals – whether it’s commercial or progressive house, melodic or dance, I try to bring in a touch of that early feeling that made me fall in love with the genre. I want my music to capture that same energy but with my own stamp on it.

Why do you think it’s important for artists to focus on developing their own sound rather than chasing trends?

It comes down to being honest with yourself in the studio.

You’ve got to make what feels right to you in that moment. If you’re chasing a trend you don’t really care about, it shows in the music. I think it’s more sustainable long-term to stay connected to your own taste.

Why do you think some artists get stuck in a certain sound, and how do you keep pushing your boundaries?

Some people like to stay in one genre because it helps build their brand. And that can work. But I’ve always listened to a wide range of stuff and that shows in what I make. Jumping between styles actually helps my workflow – it keeps things fresh and stops me from overthinking.

How do you know when a track is finished?

It’s when I feel fully connected to it.

Usually, I’ll send it to a few close friends in the scene for feedback. Sometimes they’ll suggest changes, sometimes it’s already done. Once I get it to that point, I send it off to get mixed and mastered by someone I trust, and then it’s ready to go.
