Outside Lands scraps 2020 event, shares 2021 lineup topped by ZHU, Tame Impala, Lizzo

Tides are starting to shift as the final holdouts of 2020’s gutted festival season officially scrap plans for this year and fans start looking hopefully at 2021. San Francisco’s Outside Lands has now cancelled this summer’s event, though the cancellation comes with a major silver lining; 2021’s lineup is out, it’s pretty phenomenal, and tickets are about to go on sale. Topped by Tyler, the Creator, Tame Impala, ZHU, Vampire Weekend, J Balvin, and more, Outside Lands is looking ahead to next year with a slate of programming that would make festival goers foam at the mouth—events drought or not.

Additional headliners include Lizzo, Young Thug, Kehlani, and The 1975. Moreover, acts like Nelly, JPEGMAFIA, and Burna Boy rub shoulders with Khruangbin, Bonobo, and A R I Z O N A, with performances by a wide variety of artists including Shiba San, J. Phlip, Earthgang, Sofi Tukker, Rico Nasty, 070 Shake, and many more sprinkled in. Outside Lands is expected to return to its longtime home of Golden Gate Park on August 6 – 8, 2021, and tickets go on sale June 25 at 10:00 a.m. PST for next year’s event.
