Hawaii-based Contemporary World Music artist Desperado Orchestra is back in the game with his latest single titled “Just Dancin.” Dropped a few days ago, this fantastic song is all about blending disco, funk, and soul, in the Desperado Orchestra way. After “People Say” and “Outer Space,” “Just Dancin’” is the newest and most complete reflection of his unique signature sound, versatile in terms of the different genres he mixes, but also in terms of the lyricality, meticulously polished for “Just Dancin’.” The two person project consists of J. Lawson, self-taught musician and multi-instrumentalist, and Elizabeth Fong. Together, they are working on re-imagining the African Roots of American popular music in a modern world.
Their energies are synchronized in such a way that listeners will most probably think one artist is behind it all. Blues, jazz, Hawaiian, classical and many other traditional music around the world are incorporated in the tracks they make, and “Just Dancin’” is the kind of song that will appeal both to the mainstream listener and to connoisseurs of the genre simultaneously.
