When the trap god hit the Kia Forum for his Halloween celebration, there were 17 different IDs spread throughout “Halloween XI: Dead Space,” many of which have been since confirmed to belong to the trap god himself, ISOxo, Rossy, Ivoryghost and Lizdek, and Control Freak. And RL Grime isn’t letting too much time pass before uncovering the first of them. More than two years ago, Masayoshi Iimori‘s name appeared as part of Sable Valley‘s first summer-ending compilation and his label membership has now been renewed, pairing with crp.—who makes a label welcoming—for “CTS.”Each and every “Halloween XI: Dead Space” ID was undoubtedly memorable in its own right, but “CTS”—formerly known as ID9—was a decisive standout from the very second RL Grime struck it down at the set’s 41-minute mark. A mixed production bag of influences from trap, hardwave, and trance, “CTS” erases any ounce of doubt as to why the Sable Valley boss designated it as the first track to be removed from the ID board just two weeks after its grand unveiling.Featured image: Masayoshi Iimori/InstagramTags: crp., Masayoshi Iimori, RL Grime, Sable Valley
