Klaverson Achieves Ascension with Standout Sophomore EP “Above Ground”

Out today via Beyond Records, “Above Ground” is the sophomore EP from singer, songwriter, producer and visual artist Klaverson. Calling it an EP seems like an understatement: it’s a seven-track behemoth that pushes his emotive sound to bold new heights.

Following the streaming success and critical embrace of his debut EP “Reflections“, which racked up over 15 million streams and earned praise from BBC Radio 1, 6Music, Apple Music, HUNGER Magazine and more, this new project finds Klaverson clearer in vision, deeper in feeling, and soaring with renewed creative momentum.

A stirring narrative of transformation, “Above Ground” explores moments of emotional reckoning and personal elevation; contemplative, inner shifts where self-belief wins out, and vulnerability becomes strength. At its heart is “Rising”, the acclaimed lead single already spotlighted by BBC Radio 1 and Sian Eleri’s Chillest Show, setting the tone for an EP that feels urgent, warm, and real.

“This EP is about those breakthrough moments – where you find the strength to rise again, or help someone else do the same,” says Klaverson. “I wanted it to feel like a new horizon: hopeful, real and deeply human.”

From the cinematic slow-burn of “First Time” to the soul-steeped warmth of “There For Me”, each track draws on Klaverson’s genre-fluid influences, including Maribou State, Bonobo, James Blake, while centering his unmistakable voice and widescreen production style.

An exclusive listening party hosted by BBC Introducing’s Abbie McCarthy airs June 26, and a live debut is set for Pulse of Gaia Festival in Madrid this September – two milestones that confirm Klaverson’s place among the UK’s most evocative electronic storytellers.

Undoubtedly one of the best, most emotive EPs of the year so far, “Above Ground” is available everywhere now.
