Katy Perry, Alesso debut sci-fi-inspired visualizer for ‘When I’m Gone’

On January 10, Katy Perry and Alesso debuted the official music video for their first-ever collaboration, “When I’m Gone,” over halftime during the 2022 NCAA Football Championship. During the national broadcast, Katy Perry opened the Hannah Lux Davis-directed video in an industrial phone booth, proclaiming, “I just think it’s time to give them everything they want.”On the music video’s ESPN debut, Perry explained,Both seasoned veterans in their own genres, Perry and Alesso cemented the nation’s first crossover anthem on New Year’s Eve, the same evening Perry launched her Las Vegas Residency, Katy Perry: Play, at The Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas.
