ISOxo, FrostTop unleash one of trap’s most-anticipated IDs of the year, ‘Angels Landing’

It’s not often that two of Dancing Astronaut‘s Artists to Watch team up on a collaborative effort, so when the stars do align, it’s best to pay attention. ISOxo—one of our Artists to Watch in 2021—and FrostTop—one of our Artists to Watch in 2022, have joined sonic forces for the delivery of their highly anticipated meeting and first-ever collaboration, “Angels Landing.”“Angels Landing” received its formal debut during ISOxo’s adrenaline-pumping debut headline show at the Taragram Ballroom in Los Angeles last October. The Brownies & Lemonade-hosted event got the ISOxo Presents: NIGHTREALM ball rolling, which was a series of shows inspired by his boundary pushing EP Nightrealm that arrived on Sable Valley a month prior. The evening was littered with surprise guests that included the likes of Flosstradamus, RL Grime, and last but not least, FrostTop.FrostTop served as direct support for one of his best friends and fellow San Diego Waterboy ISOxo. And when the latter brought the former back out for one last curtain call, only one thing was for sure: madness would ensue. After becoming an immediate fan-favorite in both ISOxo and FrostTop’s sets, “Angels Landing” was a lock of all locks to earn a nod to Dancing Astronaut‘s list of most-anticipated IDs of 2022. Fast forward almost a year following its debut and the Nightmode-backed single finally has a proper release. “Angels Landing” is nothing short of a towering feat in trap music, dropping in as a genre-bending track that’s presented with an angelic build that guides into a first drop that’s primed to induce pure insanity in a live setting. And the second half of the track sends chills down the spine, overwhelming the listener with simultaneous feelings of nostalgia and euphoria.ISOxo is on the heels of his debut festival appearance at HARD Summer that featured his own stage takeover to boot. Now, all of his focus turns to a seven-date run of shows to close out the NIGHTREALM era, including a brace of dates in Los Angeles at The Fonda Theater to close it all out. And it’s only fitting that ISOxo included FrostTop as part of his stage takeover at HARD Summer, where he also played out their collaboration as the closer to his Green Stage set, which only reassured that the hype for “Angels Landing” would skyrocket. “Angles Landing” is a perfect union of trap and bass and a perfect union of two of trap’s brightest young minds. It’s one that will leave listeners wondering “are we dreaming?” And the answer is no, you are not dreaming. IsoFrost is finally here and it can be streamed in all its glory below.
