Kyle Kinch‘s fifth original of the calendar year has roots in the UK. After debuting during the Dancing Astronaut Artist to Watch in 2022‘s set at Printworks London, “Moonraker”—exclusively produced for Kinch’s April appearance at the venerated venue—has hit digital streaming platforms, courtesy of Armada Music. With an overall ebb and flow that’s steadied by a bassline not dissimilar to that of “Moonraker” predecessor, “Hella,” Kinch’s latest filters hints of a vocal sample through progressive influence. Of note, the simmering number, which signals a slightly different, more ambient style of sound for Kinch, constitutes his Armada debut, expanding the laundry list of labels on which he’s guested, including Realm Records, Glasgow Underground, HUGS, Solotoko, and Basement Sound, to name just a few. “Moonraker” surfaces ahead of Kinch’s August 19 date at Elements Festival in Long Pond, Pennsylvania.
