Just as music lovers thought the era of virtual festivals and livestreams were coming to an end, the rise in COVID-19 cases across the United States has reopened the door for online events as multiple states continue to encourage residents to stay home to flatten the curve.
DJ Snake has remained relatively silent during quarantine outside of the release his ear-ripping, dubstep cut, “Trust Nobody,” however, this period of quietude is poised to end very, very soon. Snake is positioned to make his quarantine livestream debut with a special back-to-back set alongside his hooded colleague, Malaa, on July 30. The performance will be streamed live from both artists’ YouTube channels. In contrast with Snake, Malaa has been relatively active throughout quarantine, playing a few virtual performances at Digital Mirage 2, Room Service Festival, and Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas’ Virtual Rave-A-Thon.
Not much information has been revealed as to what the livestream will entail other than its existence, time, and place. Watch the livestream on July 30 at 5 p.m. EST/2 p.m. PST DJ Snake’s YouTube and Malaa’s YouTube.
