It’s official—Desert Hearts Festival is making its way back to the pines. After a massively successful debut in Northern Arizona last year, the beloved house and techno celebration is returning to Playa Ponderosa for another sun-drenched, starlit weekend of non-stop music and magic.
This year’s edition, going down July 3–7, is shaping up to be one of the most stacked yet, boasting an eclectic lineup of global talent, Desert Hearts Records mainstays, and rising stars alike. At the top of the bill are party-starters like Justin Martin, Destructo, and Mark Farina, along with scene-shaking favorites Kyle Walker, Omnom, Andreas Henneberg, and atish.
As always, the core Desert Hearts crew—Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Marbs, and Porky—will be throwing down throughout the weekend, culminating in their signature closing set that’s equal parts spiritual experience and all-out dancefloor throwdown.
There’s a heavy focus on elevating the extended Desert Hearts family this year, too. Expect powerful sets from Nala, Mary Droppinz, VNSSA, and a red-hot b2b from DJ Minx and Kevin Knapp. Funk-fueled duo The Sponges and rising force Ranger Trucco will bring that bass-heavy heat, while artists like Omri., Tara Brooks, and MNTRA deliver some of the more left-field vibes that make Desert Hearts feel so uniquely its own.
Keeping true to its “one stage, one vibe” ethos, the 2025 festival will feature a single dancefloor surrounded by immersive art, fire-breathing sculptures, and colorful theme camps. Attendees can expect deep woods magic, sunrise sets, and endless weirdness—aka the Desert Hearts experience in full effect.
Returning to the towering ponderosa pines just outside Flagstaff, the venue sets the tone for full-sensory freedom with space to roam, dance, and connect. Whether you’re posted up at the Healing Sanctuary, exploring the Dreamscape Collective Gallery, or catching sets from sunrise to moonrise, Desert Hearts offers a vibe like no other.
This year also marks a continued collaboration with Walter Productions, the Arizona-based creative force behind some of the wildest fire-fueled installations, sound systems, and art cars in the game. If you know, you definitely know.
And in true indie festival fashion, Desert Hearts has teamed up with three other grassroots fests—Same Same But Different, Northern Nights, and Joshua Tree Music Festival—to launch the new indepenDANCE Pass. For $599, you’ll get GA access to all four festivals, a major power move against rising ticket costs and corporate consolidation.
For those who crave authentic connection, dancefloor discovery, and a soul-fueled celebration of house and techno culture, Desert Hearts remains in a league of its own. Click the link here for more info and check out the full lineup below!
