In 2022, English duo CamelPhat have made their presence felt in the dance/electronic music events circuit, from headlining shows at The Warehouse Project in Manchester and Wembley Arena in London to a summer residency at Ushuaïa in Ibiza. Dancing Astronaut sat down CamelPhat’s Dave Whelan and Mike Di Scalla before their July 19 Ushuaïa show to talk “Believe,” their first single since 2020’s Dark Matter, more music to follow—including another LP—and taking over the White Island this summer.When did you first starting working on “Believe” with Mathame, and how did this collaboration come about?“Believe” is your first single since the release of Dark Matter.
