Brighton-based Producer & DJ Braxton returns to Anjunadeep with the stunning three-track ‘Indigo’ EP !

Following his acclaimed ‘My Stripes’ collaboration with Marsh, ‘Indigo’ EP proves why Braxton has become such an in-demand producer with a truly unique and exciting sound. After revisiting each track during the 2020 lockdown,Braxton wanted the ‘Indigo’ EP to explore how the previous year’s restrictions changed people and forced many to look internally.

One of the highlights of the recent Anjunadeep 12 compilation, title track ‘Indigo’ is a sumptuous and exotic creation, featuring dreamy flutes combining beautifully with cascading synths and shimmering breakbeats, building to a euphoric crescendo.

Opening with gentle, glistening beats backed by a hypnotic female vocal refrain, ‘Wilderness’ then bursts through with a powerful energy and an explosion of vibrant synths and percussion, symbolising a new hope. As Braxton says: “It’s about uncharted territory. Inspired by the empty streets and the hope of coming out of this nightmare as wilder but happier people.”

Final track, ‘Sakura’, closes the ‘Indigo’ EP perfectly. Openly gradually, akin to a tropical flower as the majestic beats continue to build throughout, ‘Sakura’ is about the feelings of renewal and optimism, experienced over the last 12 months.

Braxton’s impressive list of supporters, including for his releases on Anjunadeep and Colorize, include Pete Tong, Danny Howard, Eli & Fur, Adam Beyer, Cristoph, Yotto, Lane 8, John Monkman, Gabriel & Dresden, Diplo, James Grant, and The Magician.
