Tech mastermind Boris Brejcha is continuing his 2021 hot streak with yet another EP. The three-track Matrix EP showcases Brejcha at his best, with nearly half an hour of relentless driving beats accented with perplexing tech elements and minimal melodies. While all three tracks bring the deep club-ready atmosphere expected of the masked producer, the EP certainly reaches a climax during the second half of “I Don’t Give A F***” when a surprising acid line takes center stage. Matrix is the latest EP in an impressive string of releases from Brejcha, most recently including his collaboration with Ginger “Take A Ride.” It also follows his EXIT EP, another three-tracker produced in a similar vein to Matrix. After dropping out of the recent EXIT Festival among other shows due to health concerns, its good to see Brejcha back on his feet churning out his inimitable high-tech minimal sound.
