Avantone Pro has introduced a new White finish for the MixCube Active, the compact reference monitor used in studios to check how a mix will hold up on small, low-end-limited speakers. It is the same speaker engineers use to make sure vocals, bass, and core instruments still translate when the subwoofers and wide stereo image are gone.
Now it just fits better in clean, minimal workspaces.
Why Producers Still Use MixCubes
In a treated studio, most monitors sound great. Problems show up later in the car or on a phone speaker when the mix loses weight, vocals vanish, or the kick no longer cuts through. MixCubes help avoid that. They mimic the mid-heavy playback of everyday speakers and force you to focus on level balance rather than sub energy or stereo tricks.
Each unit has a single 5.25 inch full-range driver in a sealed MDF cabinet. No DSP, no crossovers, nothing flattering. The built-in Class A/B amp delivers 60 watts RMS. Frequency response runs from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. They mount on mic stands and handle up to 104 dB SPL. They are built to tell you what is wrong, not what sounds flattering.
New Finish, Same Purpose

The White version gives producers another visual option alongside the Black, Creme, and Red finishes. For studios that lean toward a cleaner layout with white gear, modular setups, or lighter furniture, this version blends in without changing the function. It is still meant to sit next to your main monitors and keep your mix decisions in check before you print.
Pricing and Availability
The MixCube Active White begins shipping globally in late September 2025. Pricing stays the same at $259 USD per speaker or $499 USD per pair in the US. EU pricing is €666 per pair including VAT.
