After eight long months, Anyma and CamelPhat‘s collaboration has finally hit streaming platforms. Used as the intro track for both CamelPhat and Tale of Us‘ sets at Ultra, “The Sign” has been arguably the most in-demand melodic-house song of the year alongside both Kevin De Vries “Dance With Me” and Anyma’s “Consciousness.” The Afterlife release had been a long time coming, marking the first collaboration between them, Anyma’s first outing since “Consciousness” in May, and the first original from CamelPhat since the launch of their new When Stars Align imprint. Both CamelPhat and Anyma—who represents one-half of Tale of Us—have clearly established themselves as leaders in the melodic house and techno. Throughout the 2022 summer, CamelPhat headlined Ushuaïa Ibiza on Tuesdays nights while Tale of Us headlined Hï Ibiza on Thursday nights. And after coming together for a handful of special back-to-back shows throughout the year, “The Sign” cemented itself as a highlight of the respective duo’s rare performances. Using a prolonged, euphoric build up, “The Sign” puts a a heavy emphasis on the entrancing vocals before a futuristic, progressive synth runs over the booming bassline. And the visuals for “The Sign” are equally as impressive, having been created by Alessio Devecchi, who uses a visual similar to that of the robots seen in the movie Ex Machina as well as a light blue aura surrounding the figures. See why “The Sign” makes for a hands-down contender for melodic-house track of the year below.Featured image: The Night LeagueTags: afterlife, anyma, CamelPhat, Tale of Us
