We had the chance to check out Acon Digital’s Remix a few months ago, and were really impressed by it. In that review, I mentioned that the drum separation algorithm in the plugin really impressed me; in fact, I’ve been using Remix in a lot of my productions recently to resample drums.
Now, there’s even better news for me, and everyone else impressed by that drum separation algorithm: Acon Digital have just dropped two new plugins, Remix:Drums and DeBleed:Drums.
Using the same algorithm as Remix, these two plugins focus on cleaning up and separating drum loops. And, like Remix, they work in real time. Let’s take a look at what each one does!
Instant Control, Effortlessly
Remix:Drums takes the same algorithm from Remix and applies it to all parts of a drum kit. With this, you’ll be able to take a simple drum loop and get creative with it. You can boost elements, pan others, and cut things out entirely. Love a drum loop but hate the hi hat? Now, you can get rid of it with the click of a button.
“We created Remix:Drums to give music creators an intuitive way to break down and remix drum loops without compromising quality,” says Stian Aagedal, the CEO and Founder at Acon Digital. “This tool puts total control over drum elements in the hands of producers, enabling them to shape loops in ways that were previously impossible.”
You can snag Remix:Drums right here for a 49$ perpetual license.
The End of Spillover

DeBleed:Drums works a little differently. This plugin is catered towards producers who use drums that were recorded live, and have to deal with mic spillover.
By using neural networks to separate drum elements while simultaneously maintaining clarity, this plugin removes any bleeding that may exist in your drum recordings. The result is a cleaner, more precise, better-sounding product. Aagedal says that “Our mission was to provide a simple, powerful tool that allows engineers to clean up recordings fast without introducing unwanted artifacts.”
You can buy DeBleed:Drums here for 99$.
Better Together
If you’re interested in using these plugins in tandem, Acon Digital is offering the Drum Production Suite, where you can grab both plugins for $129 USD. You’ll save 30 bucks in the process.
Whether you work with live drums and want to get the most out of your recordings or want more control over drum loop samples you may come across, these two plug-ins are must-buys for anyone looking to take their drum game to the next level.
