Unlike most of Coachella, the Do Lab curates their own unique lineup each weekend that doesn’t make its way to the official poster. Although, dance music is generally the focus of the artfully designed stage and many of the desert ravers understand that this secondary lineup is where you can find a lot of the festival’s hidden magic. Including, a scorching set between Henri Bergmann and Layla Benitez that matched the triple digit heat on Friday, April 11th. Time-wise, it was the ideal showcase for their collaboration with Jono Stephenson that dropped on that exact day via Insomniac’s Interstellar Recordings.
Skim through the photo diary below to vicariously experience their whimsical day across the California desert.
“Henri driving from LA to La Quinta the day before in 5.5 hours of traffic. First stop before we checked into our hotel: Mexican dinner and margaritas.“

Last minute set prep in the hotel lobby.

“Colorful Do-LaB stage looked so cool this year.”

“Layla in the greenroom before our set.”

“Playing the Do-Lab stage WTF.”

“Playing our new collab with Jono Stephenson, Memory Leak. It came out that day on Interstellar.”

“With Bob Moses, the surprise sunset guest, right before they went on.”

“Sunset magic hour, when it finally cooled down from 102 degrees.”

Henri by Layla.

“On the way home… We had to leave the same night to fly to Miami for our record release party at Floyd.”
