Triangle Capella 2 Revealed: WiSA Wireless, 24-Bit Streaming, Matching Turntable

Triangle has officially revealed full details of its Capella 2 streaming system, and if you’ve been waiting for a truly complete wireless hi-fi setup that does not compromise on flexibility, this one deserves your attention.

Debuting at the Bristol Hi-Fi Show, the French manufacturer builds on more than four decades of loudspeaker engineering and pairs it with modern streaming capability, room calibration, and even a matching turntable for vinyl lovers.

At £2,299 for the full system, which includes the active speakers and the new Stereo Hub 2, Capella 2 positions itself as an all-in-one solution for listeners who want performance without rack clutter. I respect systems that reduce friction between setup and enjoyment, and Capella 2 leans heavily into that philosophy.

A Fully Wireless Streaming System With Real Flexibility

At the core of Capella 2 sits the new Stereo Hub 2, powered by WiSA technology. That means a completely cable-free connection between hub and speakers, transmitting high-resolution audio with no perceptible latency. The only cables required are power cables to each speaker, which opens up placement options in ways traditional stereo systems cannot.

Streaming support covers AirPlay 2, Chromecast, Spotify Connect Lossless, Tidal Connect, Roon Ready, and UPnP/DLNA, with high-resolution playback up to 24-bit/192kHz. Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi are included, and wired connections are extensive. You get HDMI eARC for TV integration, coaxial and optical inputs, USB-B for computer audio, RCA and 3.5mm analogue inputs, plus a dedicated subwoofer output that can be adjusted via the Triangle Capella app.

Each speaker delivers 100W of Class D bi-amplification, with DSP managing crossover duties at 3,600Hz.

The 165mm natural cellulose pulp mid-woofer continues Triangle’s long-standing driver philosophy, while the TZ2530MG horn tweeter uses a magnesium and aluminium alloy dome. Bandwidth is rated at 42Hz–22kHz, and the system includes automatic room calibration via iOS or the optional Zen microphone, alongside manual EQ in the app for those who prefer granular control.

A Complete Ecosystem Including Vinyl

Triangle is not treating Capella 2 as standalone speakers, but as part of a broader ecosystem. The matching S05 stands are available in the same five finishes, including English Green, Astral Blue, Space White, Space Black and Oak, all manufactured in Soissons, France.

The new Lunar 3 turntable, developed with Pro-Ject and priced at £699, rounds out the offering. It includes a straight carbon tonearm, Ortofon 2M Red cartridge, built-in moving magnet phono stage, and speed selection for 33, 45 and 78rpm. It connects directly to the Stereo Hub 2 via RCA, keeping the system streamlined while adding analogue capability.

Capella 2 feels intentionally modern without abandoning traditional hi-fi values. Wireless freedom, broad streaming compatibility, room calibration, HDMI for TV, and a purpose-built turntable partner make this one of the more thoughtfully integrated active systems currently on the market. Availability begins in March, with global retailers following the Bristol debut.
