After a Year of Being A Hyped ID, Nichols+Roark Finally Release “Time+Space”

When a track takes on a life of its own without even being released officially, you know it’s a special one. Take, for instance, the newest track by deep house duo Nichols+Roark.

Long before its official release on The Soundgarden on January 9th, “Time+Space” found its footing in the global progressive circuit, first shared exclusively with Nick Warren in February 2025. From that moment, it began a steady journey through dancefloors across Mexico, the Netherlands, Mallorca, Croatia, and Argentina, becoming a regular fixture in Warren’s sets and a quiet point of recognition for those paying attention.

That momentum has been documented entirely organically. Crowd reactions captured on dancefloors and circulated by platforms such as Deep Tech Minimal and Techno Tulum reveal a track that connects quickly and confidently, without theatrics or overstatement. “Time+Space” works because it understands balance: emotional lift without excess, driving forward without being aggressive at all. In its original form, the track sits squarely in the space Nichols+Roark have come to define so well: indie-leaning progressive house built around melodic clarity, warm chord progressions, and a groove designed for long, immersive sets. It is music that invites hands in the air while keeping feet firmly grounded.

The attached remix extends that narrative rather than redirecting it. Fernando Olaya and Gorkiz approach “Time+Space” with a clear respect for its core identity, stretching the track into deeper and more hypnotic territory. Their versions lean into late-night energy, gradually unfolding tension and release with gorgeous synth pads and driving, deep percussion. Where the original captures a moment of collective elevation, the remix explores what follows: the inward focus of a room locked into rhythm, hours into the night.

At its heart, “Time+Space” reflects the journey of Nichols+Roark themselves. London-based and friends for more than 25 years, the duo have built a sound that resists narrow classification, drawing from indie dance and progressive house while placing storytelling at the centre of their productions. Their music often carries a sense of nostalgia, not as a reference point but as an emotional texture, woven through melody and harmony.

With releases on respected labels including All Day I Dream, The Soundgarden, Manual, Selador, and Balance, Nichols+Roark have steadily earned global recognition. Sharing stages with artists such as Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, and Sasha, they have developed an instinctive understanding of how tracks live and breathe in real spaces. “Time+Space” is a clear example of that instinct in action: a record built through movement, shaped by experience, and defined by its connection to the dance floor. We’re looking forward to hearing this weapon all throughout 2026.
