“MIGMA”, the debut album from One of Vas slated for 2026, is on its way – and the first single from it is setting a very promising stage.
“Low Key” is a track that doesn’t ask for space so much as it creates its own: deep, pulsing, and humming with a quiet sense of unease. From the opening seconds, there’s a subtle tension in the air, a semi-unsettling atmosphere that drives intrigue from the get-go.
The track’s backbone is a hypnotic, ethereal drone that seems to vibrate beneath the skin, but One of Vas’s signature ethereal vocals float above it with the same calm clarity that has defined his work from the start. It’s a careful balance (weight and weightlessness, pressure and release), a dynamic he leans into even further as the track’s rhythm fractures into a melodic, reverb-drenched breakbeat, carried by a wobbly bassline and high, string-like synths that shimmer like light hitting cold metal. It’s the first moment the track breathes, and it’s a true standout moment.
Behind One of Vas is Vasilis Tsavdaridis, a musician, singer, and producer whose path through electronic music has been one of steady reinvention. He first emerged in Italy in 2009 with his band Dropeners before relocating to Athens, where in 2019 he launched his solo project. Since then, he’s released a run of EPs and singles, collaborated with artists across continents, and landed releases on major global imprints, including the legendary All Day I Dream.
“Low Key” is the moment he’s been building up to all along: not a change of direction, but a deepening of a strong one. It’s a signal that “MIGMA” isn’t just an album in waiting, but a world in formation. And with this first step, One of Vas makes it clear: he’s building something special.
