Sébastien Tellier opens a new phase of his career with “Thrill of the Night,” an electronic disco release taken from his upcoming album Kiss The Beast, out January 30, 2026 on Because Music. The collaboration brings together Tellier, Slayyyter, and Nile Rodgers with production support from Oscar Holter and SebastiAn.
The track focuses on movement, rhythm, and direct melodic writing shaped for a late-night setting. Tellier describes it as an attempt to capture a club atmosphere through feel rather than nostalgia, rooted in his long connection to electronic pop in France.

A Focused Collaboration Built Around Groove and Clarity
Slayyyter adds her own tone through a clear, confident vocal that sits cleanly in the arrangement. Her performance draws on the energy of classic dance records while aligning with Tellier’s writing style. Nile Rodgers contributes guitar lines that sit with precision inside the groove, creating a tight rhythmic foundation without overcrowding the mix. Recorded at Motorbass Studios, the session brought all three artists into a focused creative environment guided by Tellier’s vision for the album.
The accompanying video, directed by Melchior Leroux, builds a controlled visual world around the track. Leroux filmed each artist on green screen to accommodate their schedules and later constructed a full disco-set environment in postproduction.
The narrative follows a young woman searching for Tellier, and each figure appears as a distinct presence inside the reconstructed space. Leroux cites slasher films and 80s cinema as references for the color palette and pacing. The result aligns with Tellier’s ongoing collaboration with Leroux, who previously directed “Fashion Designa” and “Naïf de Coeur.”
A Video Built Through a Controlled Visual Approach
“Thrill of the Night” functions as a clear signal of what Kiss The Beast aims to accomplish. The album features contributions from Kid Cudi, Slayyyter, and Rodgers, with arrangement support from Owen Pallett and additional production across multiple studios in Paris and London. Victor Le Masne, SebastiAn, Daniel Stricker, and Oscar Holter helped shape the broader sonic language, giving Tellier space to refine his writing while expanding his palette.
Tellier’s 2026 tour begins in February and spans France, Belgium, the UK, and Germany. Several dates in Paris and Nantes have already reached capacity, with other cities moving quickly. The live show will introduce material from Kiss The Beast alongside older work that helped build his reputation in electronic pop.
“Thrill of the Night” is available now. Kiss The Beast arrives January 30, 2026 via Because Music.
