Modern Delivery launches its new sister label, Modern Delivery Xpress, with a no-nonsense club tool from Tampa-based producer Jay Crusoe. Titled Mainframe, the single is out now and sets the tone for what the LA imprint plans to prioritize: music designed for real floors, tight mixes, and a sense of forward direction.
This is the first release on Modern Delivery Xpress. The parent label, Modern Delivery, has been operating independently out of Los Angeles with a focus on building artist-led records that lean functional without going generic. Mainframe follows through on that goal. It’s a sharp, minimal track that strips away unnecessary layers and locks into its groove early.
A Club Tool With Clarity
Crusoe’s Mainframe keeps the low end front and center. There’s no overbuilding or forced moments. The bassline works in tandem with lean percussion to create a steady, driving rhythm, while filtered synth elements keep the energy from getting stale. The production isn’t chasing trends. It’s locked in, confident, and made for sets that value control over chaos.
The track follows Crusoe’s earlier 2025 release spontaneous combustion, which caught attention for its balance of raw energy and pacing. Since then, his name has been turning up more often, with recent slots at EDC Orlando and venues like The Ground in Miami. His DJ background comes through clearly here. Mainframe feels road-tested, built on repetition that holds attention without exhausting it.
New Label, Clear Direction
Modern Delivery Xpress isn’t entering the scene looking for a gimmick. This first release acts as a mission statement. The label wants to keep things sharp, functional, and free from the bloat that’s easy to fall into when chasing playlist placements. Their motto—“Guaranteed fresh, always hot”—lands as more than marketing. If this first track is any indication, the imprint will be prioritizing music that serves DJs without cutting corners.
For Crusoe, opening the catalog is more than symbolic. His sound already fits the ethos of the label. It’s clean but never sterile, rhythmic without feeling busy. He sits in that space between groove and grit, able to keep a room moving without leaning on big moments to do the work.
Mainframe is live now on all platforms. It’s available in both full and radio edit versions, though the original is the one most DJs will reach for. No unnecessary extras, no filler. Just a producer and a label both doing exactly what they said they would.
Keep an eye on Modern Delivery Xpress. The foundation they’re setting here is strong.
