Max Sinàl & KingCrowney’s “Intentions” ft. Liv East Gets the Remix Treatment

Following the original release of Intentions, Soul Quest returns with a stunning remix package that breathes new life into the already beloved track by Max Sinàl & KingCrowney featuring the unmistakable voice of Liv East. A sonic statement of intent from the label’s founding duo, the original track was a deep and elegant collaboration rooted in soulful expression, tender grooves, and Liv East’s featherlight vocal brilliance.

Now, Intentions gets lovingly deconstructed and reassembled across five new interpretations, each adding a fresh layer to the emotional depth of the original. First up, Dutch powerhouse Frits Wentink brings his razor-edged club sensibilities to the song, reframing the track’s key elements into a rolling, hypnotic house stormer that slowly reveals its emotional centre with every turn of the loop.

Dallas deep house staple JT Donaldson features on the package with two takes: the first rides the original’s momentum with a pulsing bassline and crystalline melodies, while the dub version dials down Liv East’s vocals in favour of a stripped-back, meditative flow perfect for deeper, more chilled-out moments.

Flying Moth then offers a mesmerising, broken-beat interpretation, where skittering drums and spacious textures cast East’s voice in a glow of ambient atmospheres. It’s introspective, immersive, and utterly transportive.

To close, a lush live version from Sinàl and Crowney resets the energy: gentle percussion, warm guitar licks, and tasteful brass set the scene as Liv East shines at centre stage, guiding the track into a final state of reflective bliss.

With five new takes on an already-fantastic original, this release affirms the lasting resonance of Intentions. Through reinterpretation and reinvention, Max Sinàl & KingCrowney’s vision continues to unfold and take new life. This is what remix packages are meant to be.
