Sven Vath to headline free electronic music festival

No wristbands, no VIP nonsense, no ticket price—Sound | Escape keeps things simple: good music in a stunning setting, open to anyone who wants to be there.

From March 28-30, 2025, the festival takes over Kitzbühel’s old town and surrounding mountains, mixing alpine air with a lineup that leans deep into house, techno, and a rare nod to drum & bass. Sven Väth leads the charge, joined by Matthias Tanzmann, Tom Novy, Tube & Berger, Kilimanjaro, Lunnas, Marvin Aloys, and Wolfram.

By day, sets unfold against sweeping mountain views. By night, the music moves into Kitzbühel’s historic core, where centuries-old buildings become part of the atmosphere. Unlike big-budget festivals chasing chart-friendly bookings, Sound | Escape stays rooted in the underground, giving space to both international names and regional talent.

“To have someone like Sven Väth headlining is huge” says founder Marvin Aloys. “He’s been shaping this scene for decades, and to have his support says everything about what we’re trying to do. Electronic music started as something raw, something for everyone, and we want to bring that energy back. No barriers, no exclusivity – just good music, real people, and a space to be part of something different.”

With ticket prices climbing higher every year, Sound | Escape offers a refreshing change—quality music, free entry, and a backdrop that’s hard to beat.
