And the weather was for once.. Beautiful!
On a rare and beautiful DRY four day experience in the Dutch capital, Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) 2024 yet again solidified its position as the premier networking hub for the global electronic music scene. From October 16-20, Amsterdam pulsed with energy, drawing artists, producers, and industry professionals from every corner of the world. Spanning over a thousand events with more than 3,000 artists, ADE transformed the city into a vibrant epicenter for creative exchange, industry insights, and immersive performances.

We’re used to showing up to these events with an umbrella and slightly damp socks, but this year the sun shone on an epic schedule of drinks, panels, innovation and technology showcases. The ADE Conference served as the heartbeat of the week, hosting panels, workshops, and discussions designed to connect industry newcomers and veterans alike. Throughout venues like Felix Meritis, sessions covered everything from innovative artist branding to the latest in music production. The Pro Pass allowed attendees to access numerous panels, providing endless chances to mingle with label representatives, seasoned producers, and tech entrepreneurs. This year’s lineup of speakers included industry titans like Martin Garrix, Chris Lake, and Charlotte de Witte, who shared insights into their creative processes and offered invaluable advice on navigating the industry.
A special shout out has to go to the ADE Lab, which as well as hosting talks – showcased some incredible new technology, allowing pass holders to have a crack on the new synths, equipment and audio technology. With free BEER!
One of the best things about A.D.E is walking around town and chancing your luck with whatevers happening. We caught Kraak & Smaak in a random coffee shop and TSHA in a hotel rooftop. On the final night before our VERY early flight back to London, we made the trip south to Melkweg for IMANU‘s event. It was an epic end, with some drum & bass making a very welcome appearance in the weekend.
The premiere event in the calendar for the electronic music industry. Make sure you check out tickets for next year!
