Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello reform Buy Now! to deliver ‘Let You Do This’ with Salvatore Ganacci

At this point in the year, the likelihood that “Let You Do This” was going to be taken off the list of Dancing Astronaut‘s most-anticipated releases of 2022 didn’t seem all that high. But if we’ve learned anything by saying that before, it means that the ID will come when we least expect it. And that’s essentially what happened with “Let You Do This.” Back in 2019, Sebastian Ingrosso quickly teased a track on his Instagram story that no one had any luck in identifying. That seemed to be the end of the road for it until the end of 2021 when Salvatore Ganacci and Ingrosso—who originally confirmed it was a Ganacci production, co-produced by himself and Steve Angello—gave it a proper welcome during their last-minute back-to-back showing for MDL Beast. Once more, “Let You Do This” seemed to come to a dead end for the time being, with Ganacci re-employing it during his brief run of opening slots on Swedish House Mafia’s Paradise Again tour. And on the eve of September 15, members of the trio’s Discord stumbled across a Beatport link for the impending “Let You Do This” release, with it now officially arriving as a pairing between Ingrosso and Angello’s Buy Now! alias and Ganacci. For the uninformed, Buy Now! dates all the way back to 2005—long before the Swedish House Mafia era—to a couple of collaborations under one of Ingrosso and Angello’s numerous monikers. This time around, they form a fresh Swedish trio—sans the Axtone boss—with Ganacci for an ID that joins the 2019 version of “It Gets Better” and “Underneath It All” with Mike Posner as some of the Swedes holy grail IDs that have risen from thin air this past year. And 17 years removed from the original introduction of Buy Now!, “Let You Do This” understandably takes a gigantic leap from the sound of “For Sale” and “Body Crash,” with the three tying a muffled vocal—that still remains up in the air lyrically—to a hearty serving of deep, disco-instilled house that adds to the overall white-knuckle grip that Swedish House Mafia’s has had on 2022. And “Let You Do This” may not be the last we see of Buy Now! this year considering the “For Sale” remode that have become a staple in the Paradise Again tour sets.Featured image: Rutger GeerlingTags: , , ,
