Hermitude have officially landed themselves back on the map. Kicking off 2022 with their remix for Crooked Colors on “Light Year,” the duo have now unleashed two new original songs to add to their otherworldly catalogue. “Promises,” out earlier in the year, alongside their latest release “When You Feel Like This” with indie phenomenon The Jungle Giants has already re-cemented the pair in their rightful place as venerated Aussie dance authorities.The pair’s 2022 sound so far has slid into buoyant indie territory, veering away from their more trap and hip-hop focused 2019 album Pollyanarchy. The latest two tracks appeal to a bubbly and lighthearted essence, calling forth vocals from friends Andie and The Jungle Giants, respectively. Touting their incredibly diverse synthwork and crisp sound design, the new singles leave fans hanging onto every word of the resonant yet fun-loving lyricism. Hermitude have also recently released the eccentric video for “When You Feel Like This,” featuring a little boy on the run from an unsuspecting force.“Promises” and “When You Feel Like This” both settle on streaming platforms ahead of the boys’ upcoming album Mirror Mountain, out May 6 via Nettwark Music Group.
