From a perch at Tritonal‘s writing camp in Utah in 2021, HALIENE, Caitlin Linney, and Jeffrey Schoeny would lyrically conceptualize “Losing My Mind.” “Scripted “in the middle of the pandemic, when so many people were dealing with anxiety and depression as a response,” according to HALIENE “Losing My Mind” is the American singer-songwriter and Tritonal’s third collaborative single and trails January 2020’s “Long Way Home” with SCHALA and Jorza. The trio first began working together around the time of 2018, when their inaugural joint project, “Horizon” with Seven Lions and Kill The Noise, landed.“Losing My Mind” suspends a topline from the Dancing Astronaut Supernova atop production that is quintessential Tritonal in its chords, progression, and use of a largely soprano vocal. Of the type of larger-than-life sound that’s a prerequisite for success at the 2022 festival season’s largest stages, “Losing My Mind” can be expected to shine this spring and summer.
