The first of many IDs from RL Grime’s “Halloween X” has now been taken off the board. Sable Valley went on a brief intermission following Juelz’s label return in November, but the trap haven is officially back in the swing of things in 2022, initiating IMANU and reinitiating Jon Casey—who appeared on Sable Valley Summer Vol. 1—through the release of “Kotaro.”First premiered during the trap god’s holiday celebration at the Hollywood Palladium, “Kotaro” samples Cassie’s 2006 classic “Long Way 2 Go” and blends both of IMANU and Casey’s unique soundscapes.
