Electronic music talent has always consistently emanated out of Australia, and while he may one of the newer names to hail from down under, Leotrix may just prove to be the next big thing. With a steady track record of dubstep, electronica, and drum ‘n’ bass-inspired works already under his belt, the Sydney product is fittingly finding a home with bass powerhouse, Never Say Die, which hosts his latest EP. Perhaps one of the strongest collective works to date from Leotrix, Reloaded is a four-track bass odyssey, though it isn’t just standard festival tent ammunition. The EP bops and hisses through a range of uniquely designed sonics, all coherently weaved together, evidently showcasing the producer’s quickly sharpening skills. Landing at an apt moment, when isolation continues to remain a prevalent struggle for many, Leotrix expressed, A short, sweet, 13-minute runtime also suggests Leotrix is filing his work down with meticulous attention to detail, making it easy to blast through repeated run-throughs of Reloaded, and perhaps experience a little escapism with some of Leotrix’s strongest outings yet.
