The Dutch superstar has been on a tear in 2021, treating listeners around the world to his club-ready EP Together Again, as well as a healthy serving of radio-friendly singles in “Don’t Be Shy” and now, “The Motto.”Featuring the gripping vocal chops of pop powerhouse Ava Max, the new single is a welcome return to the swagged out sounds of 2020’s “The Business.” The track is largely defined by its catchy hook and swelling basslines, but beyond that, it’s also an exercise in simplicity.
