When an artist strides to streaming platforms brandishing “space rock,” naturally, Dancing Astronaut is attentive. So it goes with Gravitrax and BITSKY‘s “Rock The Asteroid,” a heavy-handed answer from the former, whose joint outing with LSDREAM, “EXPAND THE UNIVERSE,” continues to circle the festival circuit, worming its way into the summer’s most bass face-inducing sets. Landing on AfterShock‘s compilation album, The Family Reunion, “Rock The Asteroid” feeds speakers a bass-rock hybrid that sources its vocal sample from none other than Gravitrax himself, not to mention guitar shreds from BITSKY. Both acts impress their respective raucous signatures on “Rock The Asteroid,” which debuted at the end of BITSKY’s Music Yard set during his two-night run with Russ Liquid in North Carolina not long before it made its way to Spotify, Apple Music, and beyond. “Rock The Asteroid” marks the collaborators’ second time working together; Gravitrax and BITSKY previously aligned in the production credits for “Transmission Through Sound” in April.
