Matroda’s stock of tech-house tools expands with the release of the second installment in his Jack The House EP series. The deluxe first volume in the sonic saga touched ground in September of 2020, leaving nearly one full year of space between Matroda’s delivery of Jack The House EP (Deluxe) and Jack The House 2. The six-pack of club-conscious cuts marries the project’s pre-EP singles, “Revelation,” “High On You,” and “La Pasion” with three never-before-heard inclusions that flex Matroda’s skill at melding percussion, bassline, synth, and sample in hypnotic fashion.Jack The House 2 pulls up to digital streaming platforms as Matroda prepares to take his North American Jack The House Tour to Miami on September 3, in a formal reactivation of his live calendar. “[I’m] really excited but also a bit nervous since this will be my first tour after [the COVID-19] period,” Matroda mused in an August 30 tweet. “I have so much new music ready to test it. My set will be 80% or more matrodasound.” The Jack The House tour will prompt Matroda to play approximately two dozen dates from September through November.
