Although listeners could stream DMVU‘s “Lunch Money” one day early via Dancing Astronaut, DMVU’s The Chain EP has now arrived in full via Wakaan. Opening with the cinematic “Erythraeum,” fit for a jaw-dropping moment in a film,The Chain commences with DMVU sending the message that he refuses to hold back. Whereas the first two pre-EP singles, “Peach Smoothie” and “Lunch Money,” could be considered eclectic soundscapes, the other inclusions find DMVU blending harmonies with thrumming bass. Arriving after February’s My Foolish Heart, which saw DMVU unveil 15 songs for streaming on Audius, The Chain continues to prove that DMVU is a producer who can’t be pinned down. Each individual track that he releases finds him exploring an entirely new sound while maintaining his idiosyncratic signature. The Chain‘s eight-track delivery adds to DMVU’s versatility, providing the sonics to please fans of all bass music subgenres.Featured image: @treevalds/InstagramTags: DMVU, The Chain EP, wakaan
