1788–L released his Parallel: S EP last April on Deadbeats, which revealed two tracks that were heavily inspired by Daft Punk. Now, the enigmatic artist is returning to Deadbeats with another distorted French house-inspired track, perhaps this time a la Justice, on “HI-TECH.”Thrashing synthwork pops and hisses across the track’s three-minute run, broken up by padded percussion arrangements and twisted vocal samples that 1788-L molds into his signature dark framework.
